Venue

The Barrande-Vltava 2019 Meeting will be held at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IOCB Prague). The IOCB Prague is one of the leading research institutions in the Czech Republic. Its principal activity is scientific research in the fields of organic chemistry, biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, chemistry of new functional materials, computational chemistry, physico-organic chemistry and in related disciplines, i.e., medicinal chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, bioinorganic chemistry, molecular pharmacology and the development of new synthetic and analytical procedures.

In 2006, the IOCB has established a long-term cooperation within a joint research centre with the American biopharmaceutical company, Gilead Sciences, which deals with the research, development, and distribution of novel pharmaceuticals.
